Pa. students suspended after video with racial epithet

YORK, Pa. (WPVI) -- A South Central Pennsylvania school suspended three students over a short video with a racial epithet that circulated online.

The video shows York County School of Technology students carrying a Donald Trump campaign sign Wednesday.

Someone is heard saying "white power."

Students say the racist comments have been going on for months. And got worse after the election of Donald Trump.

Students and parents say they want school officials to do more to make students feel safe.

"That whole day students were making racial comments and saying 'white power,' and nothing was being done that day," said Eibreha Drayden, York Tech student.

"They're aware that there is a racism issue, but the election we believe made people more vocal to feel like they can use this as a way to say how they really feel," added Karen Snyder, Drayden's mother.

Some of the York Tech students say they will wear black Friday in protest of the growing racism.
