Several longtime teachers at Archbishop Ryan High School were recognized for their decades of hard work and dedication.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Longtime teachers at Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia were recognized for their decades of hard work and dedication.

Several staff members who retired at the end of this school year were honored at a luncheon at the school on Thursday.

Among the honorees was Adrienne Walter. She is the mother of 6abc employee Leslie Walter.

Adrienne has taught Italian and foreign languages at Archbishop Ryan for the last 45 years.

She was born in Italy and actually started the Italian language program at the school.

Congratulations to Adrienne and all the Archbishop Ryan High School retirees!
