VIDEO: School charges mom $77K for emails
They're probably some of the most expensive e-mails you've ever heard of.

They're probably some of the most expensive e-mails you've ever heard of.

A mother in Michigan asked her son's high school for some email correspondence about him.

Her son has special needs and she needs the information to get him into a life-skills program.

The school told her that would cost her more than $77,000.

The school says that's what it will cost to pay for the estimated 4,500 hours it will take to pull up the emails.

"It's just disgusting they would ask that from parents," said Sherri Smith, mother.

So far it appears the school isn't backing down from its original price.

But no word if Smith is going to actually pay it.
