Funeral for Joni Sledge held Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Joni Sledge was laid to rest in her hometown of Philadelphia Saturday.

She was part of Sister Sledge, the 70s group with deep ties to the city.

The group brought us the classic song "We Are Family".

Loved ones and friends gathered at Deliverance Evangelical Church in North Philadelphia for her funeral.

Joni Sledge was 60-years-old.
