When a big name movie bombs at the box office, who is to blame?

It seems many are taking aim at Rotten Tomatoes.

Movie studios aren't taking aim at the writers, producers or actors, but the reviews.

Hollywood heavyweights say the movie-review site, where critics give the film a rotten or fresh tomato rating, is skewing audience perception ahead of a film's release.

Among some of the latest films blaming the rating service: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Baywatch.

Just this week, some studio insiders pitched withholding critic screenings until the premiere.
