PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man who was convicted of shooting a Philadelphia police officer has been sentenced to 66 to 132 years in prison.

33-year-old Eric Torres shot Officer Edward Davies after a traffic stop in the city's Feltonville section back in August of 2013.

Davies, 43, is still recovering from the bullet wound to his stomach.

Torres was acquitted of attempted murder, but convicted of aggravated assault, weapon, and drug counts earlier this year.
