Experts join forces to discuss opioid crisis in Bensalem

BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- Leaders in law enforcement and the health care industry are joining forces to fight the opioid crisis.

Expert witnesses testified Tuesday at a hearing in Bensalem.

The discussion was organized by Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey and the US Senate finance subcommittee on health care that he chairs.

Tuesday's discussion was focused on preventing the misuse of prescription painkillers.
