Vigil held for fallen officer in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Friends, family, and colleagues gathered Sunday night in honor of a fallen Philadelphia police officer.

A vigil was held for Officer Chuck Cassidy at 66th Avenue and Broad in North Philadelphia, the site where he was shot and killed eight years ago.

Cassidy died on Halloween night in 2007 while responding to a robbery call at the Dunkin Donuts on the corner of that location.
