Mom says she will not buy daughter any Christmas gifts this year
Mom says she will not buy daughter any Christmas gifts this year. Alicia Vitarelli reports during Action News at 4 p.m. on November 3, 2017.

Four-year-old Lena won't be getting any Christmas presents this year.

Not because she was naughty, or for financial reasons, but because mom says the tradition makes kids "too materialistic."

Jess Wolf from North London told Britain's The Sun that kids should only get gifts when they deserve them, not on a specific day.

Wolf says she's not even decorating the house, saying the festive period has just become too commercialized.

There will be no "present fest" - as she calls it - in her home this year.

Wolf says when Lena earns something, she will get something, and says Lena is fine with it.

They decided to spend this Christmas having a lovely, quiet day together.
