Festival season comes to the Italian Market and Rittenhouse. Plus, "Dirty Dancing" and "Saturday Night Fever".

Festival season has arrived, and with it a host of outdoor fun for the entire family. Karen Rogers offers a sampling of what to do around the region this weekend.

Come on down to the Italian Market Festival

Everyone is Italian this weekend, when the nation's oldest outdoor market celebrates the annual Italian Market Festival. The entire family is invited to South Philadelphia to enjoy the traditional half ball tournament, grease pole contest, live entertainment, crafts, food, food, and more food. The 9th Street Italian Market Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Spring Festival at Rittenhouse Row

Join Rittenhouse Row for the 2017 Spring Festival. The event features culinary demonstrations, beer, cocktail samplings, live entertainment and more. It's happening Saturday from noon-5 p.m., stretching from Walnut Street from the Avenue of the Arts to Rittenhouse Square.

New Hope Pride Parade and Fair

New Hope's annual Pride celebration culminates with the Pride Parade and Fair on Saturday. The parade steps off at 11:30 a.m. in Lambertville, New Jersey, then crosses the bridge to New Hope. The colorful celebration then turns into a fun-filled fair at the Logan Inn parking lot.

Have the time of your life at Dirty Dancing the musical

Two separate shows playing in Philadelphia right now feature dancing and music that will make you feel nostalgic. You'll have the time of your life at "Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage." The show takes the stage at the Merriam Theater through Sunday.

Catch Saturday Night Fever through July 16

Put on your "Boogie Shoes" for Saturday Night Fever. The musical, based on the 1977 film, features legendary hits from the Bee Gees. It's playing at the Walnut Street Theater through July 16th.

Military Appreciation night and campout at the Union

The Union host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night. The organization will be honoring local military members, veterans, and their families for military appreciation night. Fans can also purchase tickets to camp out at the Talen Energy Stadium after the match.
