VIDEO: Saving with 6abc: Up to 70 percent off furniture
Barney Daley's Furniture is going out of business and prices are cut up to 70 percent.

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, Pa. (WPVI) -- After more than 30 years in the same Clifton Heights location, Barney Daley's Furniture Discounters is going out of business.

"I'm going to be 73 next month, I've sold the building and it's time to do something else," owner Barney Daley explains.

While the closing is bittersweet for Daley, it's great news for shoppers who want new furniture. Everything in the store is now discounted up to 70%.

A Bernhardt marble-topped buffet that was originally $2950 is reduced to $500.

Daley says, "Beautiful buffet, real marble top. Very expensive piece by Bernhardt. Now this will cost your $500, if you want to buy this today. It has to go. We can't even move this one. It's expensive to deliver. It's very, very heavy."

There are dining sets, lots of sectionals, bunkbeds and bedroom suites.

Daley describes one of the bedroom sets, "For the bookcase headboard, dresser, mirror, chest and a night stand, that'll probably cost you under $2000."

There's also a wall unit that was originally $4500 on sale for $500. But it will only fit in a room with cathedral ceilings.

If you're not sure what you want or need, the store staff is happy to help.

"Everybody that works here has been in the furniture business for at least 25 years or more. My people have been here 31 years, since I've been here. If you need any advice or you need us to help decorate the room, we will do that," Daley says.

He hopes to sell all the inventory by mid-October.

The store is located at 715 Primos Avenue in Clifton Heights, Pa. Hours for the sale are 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
