NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a house fire Tuesday morning in New Castle, Delaware.
Flames broke out before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Dallas Road in the Simonds Gardens neighborhood.
The blaze quickly spread to a neighboring home.
Arriving firefighters worked quickly and were able to place the bulk of the fire under control by 8:15 a.m. Firefighters remained on the scene, dousing hot spots.
One person was taken to Christiana Hospital with burn injuries.
There was no immediate word on that person's condition.
The home where the fire started sustained heavy damage. An adjoining home and two others were also damaged.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
