PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Fire officials are investigating an early morning garage fire in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.

It happened around 5 a.m. on the 3000 block of Martha Street.

Police found a pit bull and several burned out bird cages after the flames were put out.

So far there are no reports of any animals injured.

The cause of the fire is also under investigation.
