VIDEO: Home invasion suspect caught creeping around bedroom while victim sleeps

QUEENS, N.Y. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a terrifying home invasion in New York in which the suspect was caught on camera creeping around the bedroom while the male homeowner slept in his bed.

The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a house in the Queens.

Authorities say the male suspect entered the home and made his way into the bedroom, occupied by the 42-year-old victim.

The suspect removed a Samsung S6 cell phone from on top of a bedroom dresser, and fled on foot when the victim awoke.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as 6 foot 2 inches and about 200 pounds. He was seen wearing all black clothing and a black snow cap with the word "diamond" in red-and-white lettering on it.
