Matriarch of Herr's company dies at 89

The matriarch of the Herr's snack food company has died.

Miriam H. Herr died September 4th of heart and respiratory failure at the age of 89.

Known as "Mim," she has been the pillar of the Nottingham, Chester County based company since it was founded in 1946.

She married James S. Herr in 1947 and had five children.

She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
