QUEEN VILLAGE (WPVI) -- A seafood staple served up its final meals on Sunday in Philadelphia's Queen Village section.

The owners of Snockey's Oyster House held a champagne toast to celebrate the restaurant's final evening.

Back in 1912, Frank Snock opened Snockey's on South Street.

More than 100 years later, Frank's grandchildren, Ken and Skip, said their final goodbyes.

The brothers said the customers made Sunday's farewell bittersweet.

"If there's any sadness of my part, it's so outweighed by the warmth and the affection that was sent out by all of our regular customers," said owner Ken Snock.

Both brothers said they're looking forward to spending their free time relaxing on the beach, down at the shore.
