Math and science create a new colorful mural

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Math and science were brought together to create a new, colorful mural in South Philadelphia.

The South Philadelphia High School drum line performed during the mural's dedication ceremony Wednesday.

For the last year students worked with math and science teachers as well as a local mural artist to create a design expressing the school's international energy.

The mural includes DNA sequences, atomic structures, and satellite orbits.
