NORTH PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- Various police officers throughout the city had crab-fries with their lunch today, thanks to Chickie's and Pete's.
The popular restaurant's "crab-fries express truck" made stops at several local police precincts. But only those precincts that recently experienced a loss in the line of duty. And to honor that loss officer, free crab-fries were handed out to colleagues.
Today's touching, and certainly tasty event was organized, in conjunction with Philadelphia's fraternal order of police survivors fund. The fries are also being served for just 1 dollar at Chickie's and Pete's restaurants today with proceeds going to the police fund.
