Police are investigating a double shooting in Glenolden.

GLENOLDEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two people were shot outside an apartment complex in Glenolden, Pa. on Tuesday, and police are looking for three suspects.

It happened at 23 Glenolden Avenue around 12:20 p.m.

Investigators say there was some sort of transaction that was supposed to happen at the apartment building.

"The transaction went bad, and at that point in time the two victims in this case were shot and struck," said Delaware County D.A. Jack Whelan.

Two men, a 46-year-old and a 43-year-old, were shot and one was also attacked with a hammer.

They crawled across the street to the parking lot of Eaton Aerospace, where they were found by police.

Authorities say one man was shot in the upper abdomen/chest area and is in critical condition at Crozer Chester Medical Center.

The other man, who was shot in the buttocks and struck in the head with a hammer, and is in stable condition.

Investigators towed away a car with Delaware tags, but it was not immediately clear what role it played in the case.

Police have been looking at surveillance footage to try and get a clearer picture of what happened.
