Goodwill store robbed twice in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating two robberies at the same Goodwill store in Wilmington, Delaware.
The first incident happened on Saturday around 3:40 p.m. at 300 East Lea Boulevard.
Two suspects entered the store and pretended to be customers while waiting for closing time.
According to police, the suspects approached the cashier's counter and confronted the clerks with a large knife and a garden tool, and then demanded money from the cash registers.
The clerks turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspects.
They both fled from the store on foot into the woods just west of the entrance to Colony North.
The employees were not injured.
The suspects were described as black males approximately 17 to 20-years-old, 5'06" to 5' 08" tall.
Both suspects had a thin build and weighed between 120 to 140 lbs.
The first suspect with the knife was wearing dark pants and t-shirt. And the second suspect with the garden tool was wearing blue jeans and a dark coat.
The second robbery occurred on October 5th around 1:05 p.m.
The suspect entered the store and approached the cashier's counter.
He confronted an employee and displayed a knife. He then demanded money from the registers as well as clothing items.
The clerk turned over an unknown amount of cash and clothing to the suspect.
That person was not hurt.
The suspect was described as a black male approximately 20 to 26-years-old, 5'10" to 6' 00" tall, 160 to 180 lbs., wearing a dark colored jacket with dark pants, and armed with a knife.
