A fire damaged a grocery store with apartments above in Philadelphia's Logan section.

LOGAN (WPVI) -- A fire damaged a grocery store with apartments above in Philadelphia's Logan section.

Flames broke out before 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Torres Grocery store on the corner of North 9th Street and West Fisher Avenue.

Officials say the fire started in the basement and heavy smoke spread up through the building.

Firefighters placed the blaze under control within fifteen minutes.

Everyone was able to get out safely with no injuries reported.

Both the store and apartments suffered water and smoke damage.

So far, no word on what sparked the blaze.
