Mini market robbed at gunpoint in North Philadelphia

Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a mini market at gunpoint in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a mini market at gunpoint in North Philadelphia Friday morning.

The robbery happened inside Medina's Mini Market on the 800 block of West Susquehanna Street.

Surveillance video shows the suspects walking into the store just at 11 a.m.

One suspect went behind the counter and pointed a gun at the clerk, demanding money.

The second suspect walked towards the back of the store and emptied the pockets of a customer.

The pair got away an unknown amount of cash, several cartons of cigarettes and two cell phones before fleeing the scene.

Police describe the first suspect as a black or Hispanic male, 20 years-old and 5'10" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, mask, gloves and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male, 20 years-old and 5'7" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, mask and gloves.
