Formerly conjoined twins about to go home
Formerly conjoined twins about to go home. Alicia Vitarelli reports during Action News at 7 a.m. on October 22, 2017.

The Delaney twins, who were born conjoined, are almost ready to go home to North Carolina thanks to surgeons from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

CHOP released new videos of Erin and Abbey in the days after their June surgery, as well as the twins celebrating their first birthday.

The Delaney girls, who are now 15-months old, were born joined at the top of their heads.

They were successfully separated by a 30-member team in a risky 12-hour surgery.

Their parents say it's miraculous to see their daughters hitting milestones like rolling over and crawling.

Erin and Abby will need additional plastic and reconstructive surgeries over the next few years, but could go home, for the first time, as soon as next month.
