A Pennsylvania child just met the stranger who saved her life.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Pennsylvania child just met the stranger who saved her life.

5-year-old Jamie was fighting to stay alive in April. She was born with a rare disease and needed a new liver to survive.

A Pittsburgh news station featured her story, and that's when one of their viewers became a hero.

David Denovcheck was moved to volunteer a piece of his liver to this little girl he didn't even know.

Jamie received the transplant at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh last summer.

She and David just came face to face for the first time Monday.

They said they were already connected by an incredible bond.
