Can a graphic picture spark someone to quit smoking?
A four-week study of more than 2,000 smokers shows 40% who got a picture warning on the cigarette pack attempted to quit compared to 34% with just a text warning.
The study wasn't long enough to see if people actually kicked the habit, but researchers say this is one low-cost way to make a difference.
Still when the FDA tried to enforce this a few years ago, cigarette-makers sued to stop it.
