Skyrocketing drug costs aren't just hitting Americans at the pharmacy, but in hospitals, too.

Skyrocketing drug costs aren't just hitting Americans at the pharmacy, but in hospitals, too.

The American Hospital Association says medication for patients went up an average of 38 percent in the past two years.

And some widely-used generics, on the market for decades, have tripled in price.

The hospitals say increasing competition between drug makers, limiting direct-to-consumer ads and other reforms are urgently needed.
