MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (WPVI) -- Health officials in Minnesota are investigating a salmonella outbreak possibly linked to tainted meal replacement shakes.

The Centers for Disease Control today announced the investigation linked to Garden of Life RAW Meal Organic Shake & Meal products

There are 11 people reportedly sick in 9 states, including 1 person hospitalized.

One of those reported cases is a child.

The CDC says they are sick with the Salmonella Virchow, and that RAW Meal Organic Shake & Meal products made by Garden of Life, LLC are likely the source of this outbreak.

The recall covers the products in chocolate, original, vanilla, and vanilla chai flavors.

The CDC says many people may still have the products in their homes.
