VIDEO: Pollution report: Most local counties get poor grades
It might seem odd to talk about pollution on such a beautiful day - but it can be there, even when we don't see it.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WPVI) -- It might seem odd to talk about pollution on such a beautiful day - but it can be there, even when we don't see it.

On Wednesday, the American Lung Association put out its latest report card on air quality.

Thirteen cities had their cleanest year yet in 2013. But others had an increase in the number of un-healthy days.

Particle pollution - from power plants and diesel exhaust - has dropped in the eastern U.S., but ozone is still a big problem.

Locally, most of the counties in our area were got "F" grades on ozone levels.

Montgomery and Atlantic counties got "D" grades.

Salem, Cape May and Burlington counties were not rated.
