Spotting depression on college campuses
Spotting depression on college campuses. Registered Nurse Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5 p.m. on January 17, 2018.

Depression is one of the biggest health issues in the world - and especially on college campuses.

One of every three students suffers from it at some point.

UCLA has begun a major project to study the causes, and develop better treatments.

In September, it began offering voluntary mental health screenings to every incoming student.

More than 26-hundred have taken the online assessment and the results were immediate.
