Study: Drinking more coffee could lengthen life
Study: Drinking more coffee could lengthen life. Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5 p.m. on July 11, 2017.

There's more good news for coffee-lovers.

According to two new studies, drinking more coffee, even decaffeinated coffee, could lead to a longer life.

The studies found drinking about three cups a day lowered the risk for death, especially related to heart problems or diseases in the gut.

But skeptics say the studies aren't perfect. There may be other factors as to why the coffee-drinkers had a lower risk for death.

Some researchers say you should focus on what we know helps like eating healthy and staying active.
