Volunteers build new playground in a day in Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Hundreds of volunteers put in a day's work to make sure children have a place to play for years to come.

The volunteers built an entire playground Thursday at the Camden Children's Garden.

They also spruced up the area around the playground.

The project is part of the Dr Pepper Snapple Group's "Let's Play" initiative.

The group, in partnership with KaBOOM!, has built or improved more than 2,000 playgrounds since 2011.

Camden Children's Garden is located at 3 Riverside Drive in Camden.
