GENEVA, Switzerland (WPVI) -- The World Health Organization is sounding the alarm about the growing problem of superbugs.

Officials say it stems from misuse and overuse of antibiotics.

Many bacteria are becoming resistant to the antibiotics we have to treat infections.

Antibiotics should only be used to treat bacterial infections, not viruses.

And if you are prescribed a treatment, make sure you complete it.

Don't stop taking the drugs as soon as you feel better.
