A woman from Washington State says she found a cancerous tumor, thanks to her daily dose of potato chips.

Kristine Moore has been packing Ruffles in her lunch almost every day for 20 years.

A sharp ridge of a chip poked her in the throat back in February.

She went to the doctor to get checked out, and was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the left tonsil.

"The potato chip was a blessing in disguise, I probably wouldn't have found out for another year." said Moore.

She says her husband called Frito Lay to tell them about her story.

The company sent two t-shirts, a lunch bag, a thank you letter and coupons for free chips.
