CDC gives green light to romaine lettuce: Ali Gorman reports on Action News at 5 p.m., May 23, 2018

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- We have good news for salad-lovers. The CDC says it's now safe to eat romaine lettuce.

The lettuce linked to an E. Coli outbreak was traced to the Yuma, Arizona area, but the FDA couldn't narrow down which farms were affected.

But now, the harvest season is over in Arizona, so romaine lettuce isn't coming from that area.

Instead, it's now being grown and shipped from California.
