When high school rowing becomes a viral video sensation, let's call this "regatta gone wrong."

A series of mishaps, none serious, thankfully, but no less amusing, went down in Riverhead, New York.

The YouTube video is called "Snowflake Regatta Carnage 2014" and has close to 700,000 views.

Boats just hanging out in the middle of the course, tangled up, is just some of the damage caught on camera.

One boat even has to be towed after getting stuck in the bushes.

The regatta president says to their defense, these students haven't competed on that course before.
