6abc hosts Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at Philadelphia studio

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- This is Hispanic Heritage Month and 6abc is proud to be taking part in this important celebration.

We hosted an event right here at our studios on Monday to pay tribute to two people who have made key contributions to Hispanic heritage.

6abc presented an award to Richard Negrin, the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Also honored was Alejandro Bedoya, the team captain of the Philadelphia Union who is also a gun safety advocate.
