LAKELAND, FL -- The wife of a Florida police officer has been accused of stealing packages containing Christmas gifts from her neighbor's porch, and in an ironic twist, the victim is an officer's wife, too.

Dana Hagar is allegedly seen in surveillance video helping herself to boxes left outside her neighbor's front door last Friday.

Inside the boxes were gifts meant for the neighbor's two-year-old daughter.

At Hagar's first court appearance, reality seemed to set in for the accused when the judge asked her about her work life.

"You still have your job there?" the judge asked.

"I probably will not, no," Hagar conceded.

Dani Thompson, who heads up the Central Florida Leo Wives Group, says Hagar was identified after a group member identified the suspect after watching the victim's surveillance footage.

The video that was posted to the group received 50,000 views in a single night, leading to the tip.

The judge in the case set Hagar's bond to $7,500, but she will not be able to leave jail until at least December 17, when she faces another judge for violating her probation.

She was previously charged for stealing from a Kohl's department store.
