40 years of service

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Hundreds of people packed the Pennsylvania Convention Center Tuesday night to celebrate Marian Tasco.

The sevenn term Philadelphia city councilwoman is retiring after 40 years in politics.

Tasco was the second woman and first African-American elected to the City Commissioners.

She will leave City Council as one of its longest tenured members.
