3-vehicle crash involving police cruiser snarls traffic on I-95 in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A three-vehicle crash involving a police cruiser snarled traffic on Interstate 95 in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 11:05 p.m. near the entrance to the Platt Bridge.

Police say two civilian vehicles and a police SUV were involved in the crash.

No injuries to officers, but one civilian was taken into custody.

Shortly before the crash, police and rescue crews responded the scene of an overturned armored truck at the base of the Platt Bridge.

No word on if the two accidents are connected.
