Howard University performs "Firebird: Spirit Rising"

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- It was a real treat for children at the Mann Music Center Tuesday.

Dancers and actors from Howard University performed the show Firebird: spirit Rising for free as part of the Young People's Concert series.

It tells the story of a South African student uprising 40 years ago about education rights.

This is the 3rd summer that the Mann has presented original programming.
