Jews all across the delaware valley spent their mornings ringing in the year 5776 with song and prayer

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Jews all across the delaware valley spent their mornings ringing in the year 5776 with song and prayer.



The action cam was in North Philadelphia as Congregation Rodeph Shalom celebrated the first full day of the Jewish New Year.



Rosh Hashanah officially began at sundown Sunday night.



It marks the start of the high holy days, ending with Yom Kippur, or the day of atonement, which begins at sundown on September 22nd.
