Eastern State Penitentiary 6th annual toy drive

FAIRMOUNT (WPVI) -- Tis the season to help others, that includes children whose parents won't be home for the holidays.

Eastern State Penitentiary kicked off its 6th annual toy drive Monday.

It benefits kids whose parents are spending time behind bars.

The prison is asking the community to donate a new toy or children's book now through December 21st.

In Pennsylvania alone, there are nearly 82,000 children with a parent in prison.
