Man at large after barricade situation in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for an armed man after a barricade situation in North Philadelphia.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of North Lambert Street around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

SWAT and a negotiator also responded to the scene.

Police said a man, believed to be held up inside a house at that location, allegedly threatened a woman by putting a gun to her head.

A barricade situation was declared and a staging area designated.

The woman managed to get out of the property, but the man is still at large.
