Man critical after being shot in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A man in his mid-20s was shot in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood, leaving him in critical condition.

It happened on the 2000 block of East Lippincott Street at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police say the victim was shot once in the chest.

They are hoping security cameras in the area will provide more details about what happened.

No suspect or motive is known at this time.
