Man shot and wounded in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia that left a man wounded.

It happened at 12 p.m. Tuesday near 27th Street and Lehigh Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a male victim who had been shot in the shoulder.

Video from Chopper 6 showed a medic unit on the scene.

There was no immediate word on the victim's condition or what led to the shooting.

Police are working to track down the person or people responsible.
