Man shot during attempted robbery in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A 42-year-old man was shot during an attempted armed robbery in the city's Frankford section.

Investigators tell Action News two men approached the victim on the 4800 block of Frankford Avenue overnight and demanded money.

When he told them he didn't have any, one of the suspects shot the victim in the thigh. Both suspects fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Aria Torresdale, where he is listed in stable condition.
