Man shot following attempted robbery in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An attempted robbery left a man injured in North Philadelphia overnight.

Police say a 49-year-old man was shot and pistol whipped in the head during the incident on the 1100 block of West Rockland Street.

The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
