Man attacked, stabbed in Center City attempted robbery: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is recovering from an attack during an attempted robbery in Center City Philadelphia, police said.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Broad and Spruce streets.

Police said a 45-year-old man was stabbed in the head and chest.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said they have a suspect in custody.
