It was an unexpected finish to a marathon that will likely bring a smile to your face.

Chandler Self was well ahead in the women's division during a marathon in Dallas, Texas Sunday.

Then, she began to struggle during the final half-mile.

When she stumbled, a high school runner doing a relay, not the whole race, helped Self reach the finish line.

Self was then wheeled off for treatment.

The New York City psychiatrist was fine later, laughing about her newfound fame.

Self ended up winning the women's division of the marathon.

The high schooler said she was just glad she was in the right place at the right time to help.
