Charter school turkey giveaway

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Nearly 500 children are taking a free turkey home for their families to enjoy this Thanksgiving.

Universal Companies is giving the meals away to students at three of the schools that it runs in Philadelphia.

The Action Cam stopped by Universal Daroff in West Philadelphia, as the bags were distributed.

The giveaway also benefited students at Universal Creighton, and Universal Bluford.
